Micro-enterprises training courses,April 2005

Four two-day courses, taking place in April, offer a great opportunity for people who want to make practical plans to develop a micro-enterprise.

The courses are being presented by Doreen Rosimos and Darcy Smith, from the USA, who are leading international experts in micro-enterprises for disabled people. Doreen and Darcy are outstanding presenters, with a style that mixes inspiring stories, busines know-how, and clear practical advice.

The courses are mainly aimed at people who are interested in doing more than just finding out about micro-enterprises.People are invited to attend in small teams of two or three - the person interested in having a micro-enterprise and one or two people from their circle of support. By the end of the course, each team should leave with practical plans for a micro-enterprise. (They don't have to carry out the plan, of course, though we hope they will!)

The courses have been arranged by the NDT in partnership with the Valuing Support Team and (for the South West event) the National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE). They're designed as regional events, so open to people from within the region for each event.

Reservations and charges are controlled by our local partner for each event, but it's expected that in most instances there will be no charge for attending the course. Details for the courses are as follows:
