Micro-enterprises training courses,November 2005

After another very successful series of training courses in April, Doreen Rosimos and Darcy Smith have agreed to return for a further series of events in November. The NDT would very much like to hear from organisations that would be interested in supporting a local event.

In line with our policy for support to the development of micro-enterprises, we shall continue to aim for events that are most likely to produce practical results. This means that we would like each event to be farly local (regional or better), and designed to help small teams of people to use the course to starting planning micro-enterprises. Each team should consist of the person who is interested in having a micro-enterprise, plus one or two people who are close to them and willing to do further work to develop the business. These people may be family members, friends, or support workers.

This in turn means that the cost of each event cannot realistically be met by charging fees directly to participants. It's very likely that, as before, we will ask local organisations to sponsor a course. In return they will be able to nominate people for attendance.

While we would be happy to organise another course in England, Doreen and Darcy would be very pleased to present a course in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland.

If your organisation might be interested in sponsoring an event - or if you can put us in touch with suitable organisations - please contact Steve Dowson, sdowson@ndt.org.uk
