Alicia Wood

Alicia’s background has been in enabling people with learning disabilities to get ordinary housing options such as home ownership.

She has worked as a senior manager in the statutory and voluntary sectors and as a consultant, speaks widely in the areas of supported living and housing in the UK and Ireland.

Alicia has written and co-written many publications including Reach Standards in Supported Living, Gadgets, Gizmos & Gaining Independence - the use of Assistive Technology by People with a Learning Disability and Choice Based Letting and People with a Learning Disability.

She has also developed accessible materials around housing and support including tools for planning, a video and an accessible guide for tenants.
