A new training package on micro-enterprises

The NDT is building on the work of Doreen Rosimos and Darcy Smith with a new training package.

The training package follows the format of Doreen and Darcy's highly successful courses. It involves two days of training, with a practical, hands-on approach that will enable participants to leave the event with plans to develop their own micro-enterprise. Each course will be able to accommodate around 15 people with learning disabilities, each with two supporters working as a team (i.e. up to 45 people per event.).

As 'home-grown' training, however, these courses are adapted to the particular needs of UK participants and the issues that they will face in setting up their own businesses. The two day event is also set within a package of support and materials.

The training is currently being piloted, and will then be generally available. There will be more details on the NDT Website soon - but if you'd like to know more now, please contact Joan Maughan at the NDT - 01473 836440, or jmaughan@ndt.org.uk
