Bill Love – Head of Learning Disabilities and Personalisation

Bill heads the NDT's Learning Disbilities Programme and our work stream addressing the personalisation agenda.

Bill has worked with people with learning disabilties for 20 years in a range of roles, all aimed at supporting people to take control of their life and live within our shared community. These roles have included developing and managing day opportunities, community inclusion, employment and residential services in the statutory and voluntary sectors as well as the less traditional roles of independent brokerage, advocacy and individual support networks.

His work focuses include:

• Achieving wholesale change within the planning, commissioning and delivery of statutory and voluntary sector services

• Person centred approaches to planning, delivery and review

• Developing new supports and services

• Meeting the challenges and opportunities of government policies including Valuing People Now and the forthcoming employment Strategy

• Staff and management training, development and creative thinking
